Musikmesse 2011: Boss Announces Micro-BR 80 Portable Digital Recorder
Boss has released the Micro-BR 80, providing a professional 8 track recording studio in your pocket.
The original Micro-BR took the portable recording world by storm when launched in 2006, winning fans with it's pro-quality multi-tracking in a package barely bigger than an iPod.
Upgraded now to eight tracks, and fetauring the latest Boss guitar and vocal effects, built-in rhythms, onboard mics and jamming features from the JS-8, the Micro-BR 80 promises to be every on-the-go musicians dream.
A special Live Record mode turns the BR-80 instantly into a stereo handheld field recorder, making it indispensable.
Small enough to fit in a pocket, but offering two-tracks of simultaneous WAV recording, eight tracks of playback and 64 virtual tracks for advanced editing.
Built in high quality stereo condenser mics give up to 500 hours recording time, ideal for capturing ideas quickly and simply.
The BR-80 is based on next-gen design and technology, including category leading COSM effects, and vocal effects derived from the acclaimed VE-20 as well as a full mastering suite.
Whilst effects are easy to dial in from the interface, pro users can dive even further extensively adjusting the parameters.
Built on Roland's eBand technology, on board 'jam ready' features include top quality rhythms, a huge library of backing tracks and the option to import WAV or MP3 songs.
Variable speed, pitch and A-B repeat features enable players to practice songs in different keys and tempos.
The Centre Cancel feature allows the minimising of guitar solos and vocals in pre-recorded tracks for even greater jamming ability.
The BR-80 can act as an audio interface via the on board USB port, allowing for computer based recording as well as the import and export of WAV and MP3 tracks.Posted on 6 Apr 2011 09:02 to category : Instruments News
