Musikmesse 2012: Pioneer RMX-1000 Effector Launched
RMX-1000 Effector provides incredible live effects
The Pioneer RMX-1000 Effector is set to raise the bar for live DJ performance, promising to become a one stop "remix station", launched at Musikmesse 2012. The unit features four distinct functions of effects control. Scene FX allow users to choose from five build-up effects and five break down effects. Build ups include BPF Echo, Echo, Noise, Siral Up and Reverb Up. Break downs include HPF Echo LPF Echo, Crush Echo, Spiral Down and Reverb Down. The Scene effects are controlled by the large knob on the right of the unit - simple. Isolate FX use three individual knobs to process low, mid and high frequencies, as well as featuring effects for rhythm patterns. Additional effects in the section include cut/add, trans/roll and gate/drive. X-Pad FX are centred around a touchpad that allows users to developed and add new sounds to their DJ'd music - audio sampls can be edited using Pioneer's remixbox software then stored on the internal SD. Release FX removes the playing music leaving only the sound effects, and vice versa. Three types of effects are on board, including vinyl brake, echo and back spin. The controller can also be used as a VST for computer based DJing as well as providing control over music production software. A quantize function enables real-time music analysis and synchronisation of effects.
