The Korg M01D Music Creation Program, Available on the 3DS
Japanese studio Detune is set to launch the Korg M01D software, based on the Korg M1 workstation, on the Nintendo 3DS platform this summer.

You may remember the Korg DS-10 music creation program, based on the much-loved Korg MS-10, which became available for the Nintendo DS. Detune, the brains behind the DS-10, have teamed up with Korg again.

The M1 was the world's first widely-know workstation, released in 1988. Many sounds of the 80s still feature on the M01D, like the 'M1 piano', still heard on many songs today.

With over 300 sounds and an easy-to-use sequencer, you can play music anytime, anywhere with the palm-sized 3DS. Notes are input using the 3DS stylus, and use KAOSS Mode for easy note, chord and drum part entry. MIDI song data can even be saved to an SD card for transfer to other equipment.

Using the 3DS's dual screens, the Korg M01D's music-making possibilities are expanded even further, bringing the fun experience beyond the music workstation for everyone from beginners to professionals to enjoy.

Previously only available in Japan, the Korg M01 software has been highly-acclaimed by gadget-loving creators and performers. The M01D version is available to download worldwide from May, with the capability to exchange song data with other users wirelessly.
