Musikmesse 2016: RC-202 Loop Station Revealed by Boss
The new RC-202 takes its interface-style aesthetics from Boss' flagship RC-505 Loop Station, features multi-effects, external control capabilities and their best real-time processing to date.
The RC-202 features two stereo loops with dedicated fingertip controls and dynamic status indicators as well as 64 phrase memories for saving your loops.
Loops can be saved to the current phrase memory without ever stopping playback, allowing users to save and switch memories to perform advanced song structures and evolving arrangements.
Sound can also be enhanced with included input effects like pitch shift, Lo-Fi and Ring Mod. Other effects such as beat, filter and slicer help open the product up to DJs, beatboxers and electronic artists too.
There is a jack connection to allow up to two footswitches or an expression pedal to be used. Via MIDI, extensive control is possible from a MIDI foot controller, keyboard, drum machine or other MIDI device - opening up even more creative looping possibilities.
Other inputs include an XLR microphone jack with phantom power, a USB connection allowing you to import / export sounds from / to a computer.
