My Chemical Romance discuss 'intense' recording sessions
Guitar group My Chemical Romance have revealed the difficulties they have experienced while recording their new album.
The US rockers have been working on their fourth record without Bob Byrar, who is no longer behind the drum kit for the band after quitting earlier this year.
Frontman Gerard Way told BBC Radio 1 that studio tensions had made the recording process strained, explaining that that "vibe wasn't good".
However, after committing some new tracks to tape, the singer said that the New Jersey musicians are back in a good place.
"The spirit is back. It took a little while to figure out who and what the band is and re-embrace that, as opposed to turning our back on it," he remarked.
Fans of the band are due to get a taster of the new material when they play three UK gigs next month.
The tour kicks off at the HMV Apollo in London on October 23rd and also includes dates at Manchester's O2 Apollo and the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
