N-Dubz's dangerous club encounter
N-Dubz star Dappy was threatened with a weapon by an enraged clubber at the on Saturday night (10.04.10).
The London-based rap group are currently touring the UK and after a show in Manchester ran into trouble when they left their private party area in the Coliseum club to meet with fans.
While female singer Tulisa was greeted with a host of wolf whistles from male partygoers, rappers Dappy and Fazer attracted plenty of female attention - which angered a group of guys who started to mock Dappy's trademark long-eared hat and threatened him.
Witnesses say the verbal fight spilled over into a physical battle when one member of the group approached 'Playing With Fire' singer Dappy with either a bottle or a knife.
A source said: "A man waltzed straight up to Dappy and started going off in his face. It all happened so quickly. There was a huge fight."
The group's security quickly rushed in and bundled the assailant to the ground, and then N-Dubz were quickly escorted from the building and scalded for leaving the safety of their VIP area.
Another source said: "The group were escorted out of the club and into a car back to their hotel, while the police came to question the guys at the centre of the fight.
"They were kicked out and banned from ever going in again. Dappy is fine but shaken."
The fight is the second incident to affect the group this month after Fazer was robbed of £6,000 worth of jewellery in broad daylight.
Their 'Against All Odds' tour resumed last night (11.04.10) in Sheffield.Posted on 12 Apr 2010 10:00 to category : Music News
