NAMM 2011: Alesis Introduces iO4, 24-Bit USB Audio Interface
Leading music-technology manufacturer Alesis have announced the release of the Alesis iO4 24-Bit USB Audio Interface.
Building on the success of the popular iO2 interface, the iO4 is a compact audio-recording interface for home, project and portable studio recording setups.
The four-channel USB device for Mac and PC-based systems allows users to record and monitor up to eight channels of audio (4 in, 4 out) at 16-bit recording, or four channels (2 in, 2 out) at 24-bit.
The iO4 is small enough to fit into a mobile recording setup, laptop bag or backpack, yet contains high-quality components and circuitry suitable for any studio.
The iO4 features four input channels which each have an XLR, line-level input which is ideal for direct connection of guitars, and an insert for external effects processors.
The iO4 features discrete-design preamplifiers and 48v phantom power on each of its four input channels as well for use with virtually all microphones and audio sources.
High quality analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters ensure that every detail of each session or performance gets captured and played back faithfully.
Multiple monitor outs, a headphone out and MIDI IN and OUT sockets give users plenty of connection options.
The iO4 sends and receives eight audio channels on a single USB cable for simple, universal interface to both Mac and PC-based computer systems.
The iO4 ships with a copy of Steinberg?s Cubase LE so you can begin recording straight away.Posted on 12 Jan 2011 18:00 to category : Instruments News
