NAMM 2011: Hagstrom Announce Limited Edition Electric Guitar
Hagstrom has announced it will introduce the Limited Edition Absolut Vodka Ultra Swede electric guitar at NAMM 2011.
As part of Absolut Vodka's 'Rock Edition' design competition, artists entered their work in pursuit of the grand prize limited edition run of their art presented on a Hagstrom Electric Guitar.
This custom Ultra Swede guitar is part of the Ultralux series, a great collector's item for artists and players.
The stylized floral black and silver graphics makes this instrument unique and features a two-piece basswood body with a maple cap, and a set in maple neck.
The fingerboard is made with resinator wood and includes Hagstrom select block pearl and abalone markers.
Resinator wood is a wood composite material that is homogeneous in nature and more stable than any standard wood product.
It is the perfect fingerboard material eliminating hot spots or wolf tones.
Like all new Hagstrom guitars, the Absolut Vodka model is built using the patented H-expander truss rod allowing for lower action and a thinner neck.
This guitar also features Hagstrom Custom 62N-4 and 62B-4 pickups, 3-way toggle switch, a removable 'Absolute Vodka' tailpiece cover, Hagstrom 15:1 die cast tuners, and a long travel Tune-O-Matic bridge.
The winning design was created by Nina Vollmer from Korea, Design experience not only compliment the Ultra Swede, but turnsed it into an intoxicating limited edition electric guitar.
The Absolut Vodka Ultra Swede model will debut in the U.S. Winter NAMM 2011 convention in Anaheim, CA.Posted on 5 Jan 2011 12:27 to category : Instruments News
