NAMM 2011: MOTU announce FireWire & USB 828mk3 Hybrid Audio Interface
Computer-based audio hardware and software developer MOTU updated the popular 828MK3 interface to fall in line with their UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid.
Now featuring both FireWire and USB 2.0 connections, the MOTU 828mk3 Hybrid offers users further flexibility and more connectivity choices than ever before.
By incorporating both FireWire and USB 2.0 connectivity the 828 Mk3 Hybrid can be connected to a wide range of Mac and Windows computers. The new model uses FireWire "Type B" connectors, and ships with a 9pin to 9pin FireWire cable.
With ten channels of pristine 192 kHz analog recording and playback, combined with sixteen channels of ADAT digital I/O and stereo S/PDIF, the 828mk3 is one of the most comprehensive interfaces available.
The 828mk3 is equally well-suited for studio and stage, with or without a computer. As an interface or standalone mixer, the 828mk3 provides 28 separate inputs and 30 separate outputs, including dedicated main outs on XLRs and two front panel headphone outs.
Advanced diagnostic tools allow you to analyze and scope your audio, including a full-screen real-time FFT display, spectrogram "waterfall" display, full-featured oscilloscope, X-Y plot, and linear/polar phase analysis graphs.
The 828mk3 Hybrid also features MOTU's CueMix FX software, giving you comprehensive graphic control over your mix.
As with other MOTU interfaces, the 828mk3 Hybrid can be daisy-chained to additional MOTU devices for further expansion of you I/O.Posted on 7 Jan 2011 11:29 to category : Instruments News
