NAMM 2011: Paiste Announce New Alpha Swiss Crashes
Renowned Swiss cymbal maker Paiste have released details about new Paiste Alpha Swiss crash cymbals to be launched at this years NAMM.
Alpha 18' Thin Swiss Crash looks and sounds unlike any other Paiste product with its circular holes cut out around the cymbal.
These holes give it a distinctive explosive new sound that fades out quicker, but also gives it a trashy sound that cuts through any music.
In addition the Alpha 18' Medium Swiss Crash is slightly heavier and louder but still has a quick response, delivering the same trashy effect with more body and overtones as the Alpha 18' Thin Swiss Crash.
Alpha 18' Medium Swiss Crash is definitely more suited to medium to loud musical applications and ideal for rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions.
The new Swiss Crashes provide unique sounds for drummers and percussionists that want to spruce up their sound with special accents.Posted on 10 Jan 2011 12:42 to category : Instruments News
