NAMM 2011: Yamaha Release Birch Bebop and Club Custom Drum Kits
Musical Instrument manufacturer Yamaha have released details of two new and exciting drum kits that will be showcased as NAMM 2011 ? the Stage Custom Bebop Birch and the Club Custom.
Building on the success of the popular Stage Custom Birch kit, the Yamaha Stage Birch Bebop drum kit offers the same high quality features, in the popular Bebop configuration.
For jazz drummers and educators who need a compact kit for small stages and easy load-ins, the new Stage Custom Birch Bebop drum set fits the bill.
Schools seeking good-looking, functional drum sets will also appreciate the quality offered by this new kit.
Featuring flawless lacquer finishes, rugged hardware and all-birch shells, the Stage Birch Bebop kit offers a cutting low-end sound and great sustain.
The Yamaha Club Custom drum kit combines the best of classic and modern qualities.
This new series, which features a stunning painted lacquer finish, mixes a classic vintage-era tone with today?s finest craftsmanship.
Club Custom kits feature Kapur shells, an exotic tone wood exclusive to Yamaha, first used on the flagship PHX drum set. The painting technique, also exclusive to Yamaha, helps create finishes never before seen in lacquer.
The Stage Club Custom is designed to project well in live performance situations, cutting through amplified instruments ? its warm tone and fast decay provides enhanced articulation.
Renowned drummer, Steve Jordan, helped design the kit?s specifications and look.
?A few years ago, when I visited Japan, I requested that Yamaha create a drum set with these qualities and it?s exciting to see this new Club Custom kit come out now,? said Jordan.Posted on 13 Jan 2011 18:00 to category : Instruments News
