Teenage Engineering Announce A Musical Experimental Board
Teenage Engineering Oplab Musical Experimental Board Announced at NAMM 2012. Teenage Engineering have described the Oplab as a delicious Musical Experimental Board, seasoned with endless connectivity. Allowing you to interconnect virtually any electronic musical instrument the Oplab allows you to simply connect the cable, set the appropriate scenario and experience a perfect sync. One revolutionary idea is the idea of taking any toys or junk and making it interact with your electronic musical instrument i.e. turn a broken hard drive in to a scratchpad, or a mouse in to a pitch bender. Teenage Engineering have also released some neat accessories with the Oplab including the TS-1 sneaker with a TS-1W wireless Gyro sensor that could be used to trigger a kick drum or maybe be an invisible sustain pedal.
Featuring USB IN and OUT, Micro USB, CV IN, CV OUT, MIDI IN, MIDI OUT, SYNC OUT, MIDI THRU and program selection switches allow you to connect virtually any of your electronic instruments and much much more. Oplab sensor line-up includes the Tap TS-2 perfect to trigger any percussion, Flip TS-3 that can sensor movement, Poke TS-4 which is pressure sensitive as well as the TS-1 sneaker.
