NAMM 2013: Korg's MS-20 Synth is Reborn! (Updated with NAMM video!)
The MS-20 mini reproduces the same components as the MS-20, with production overseen by the original engineers.
Used by over 300,000 musicians since it launched in 1978, Korg's MS-20 synth has contributed to the sounds of The Prodigy, Portishead, Daft Punk and many others.
The new MS-20 represents everything you loved about the original, but shrunk to 89% of the size. Some may even find the packaging and instruction manual familiar!
Highlights include a flexible patching system, making it possible to create complex sounds with different combinations. Easy to patch, the MS-20 mini has a handy flowchart, making it easy to use even for beginners.
The self-oscillating high and low-pass filters produce a distinctive and dramatic tonal change. Using the same filter as the earliest MS-20, the mini produces a superior and radical sound.
The new mini version has also been modified to include a MIDI IN and USB-MIDI connector, as well as the ability to produce less noise.
Launched for NAMM 2013, it won't be long before you can enjoy the unique and amazingly authentic analog synth sounds from Korg's MS-20 mini synthesizer.
