NAMM 2014: PRS S2 and Signature Series Guitars Showcased
The S2 Series guitars are all made in Maryland, USA, and aims to bring models with distinct personalities to players in a more affordable way.
New introductions include the S2 Singlecut and S2 Custom 22 models in a variety of colourways including Blue Crab Smokeburst, McCarty Tobacco Sunburst, Black Cherry, Antique White and more.
All S2 guitars are manufactured with new processes and specs in the same factory as all US-made PRS instruments.
The latest Signature models come from artists such as Marty Friedman of Megadeth and Zach Myers of Shinedown.
The 2014 Zach Myers features a chambered mahogany body with a single f-hole and rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays.
Marty Friedman's signature was developed with him during the recording of his most challenging guitar album yet, 'Inferno'. It features star inlays on a rosewood fretboard, a Black gloss beveled maple top and PRS adjustable stoptail bridge.
