NAMM 2016: Vox Starstream Type 1 Modelling Guitar Unveiled
Created to offer versatility, the Vox Starstream Type 1 modelling guitar can be used to provide a wealth of sounds from guitars, sitars, other stringed instruments and synthesizers alike.
This is all possible thanks to the innovative AREOS-D system, a smart piece of technology that uses the guitar's magnetic pickups to create modelled sounds with more realism and accuracy.
There are nine banks of instruments with three variations in each plus the option to store up to six favourites.
The guitar is available in five different finishes: Metallic White and see-through semi gloss black, Metallic Black and see-through semi-gloss black, Metallic Red and see-through semi-gloss black, Black frame with semi-gloss black body, and Black frame with semi-gloss red body.
Interestingly, the guitar is made from a resonant mango body wood and a hard maple neck.Mango is a tropical hardwood with a warm, resonant sound highlighted by rich, smooth sustain that enhances the depth and realism of the guitar models.
More information about the Starstream Type-1 is due to be released at the NAMM Show 2016.
