The Maschine Mikro has just been announced by Native Instruments, a leading software and music technology manufacturer. Billed as the "perfect entry" into the world of Maschine, this new release has the same famed pads, software and 6GB library as its bigger brother. What really marks the Mikro out though is that this road-tested build quality is being offered in an ultra-portable package, ideal for use on stage or in the studio wherever in the world you may travel. Incredibly, the Maschine Mikro contains all the same features as the standard Maschine version, including VST and Audio Unit plug-in hosting and KOMPLETE 8 integration. With clever hardware shortcuts to essential software controls and a high contrast display with backlit pads, the Maschine Mikro offers a great sequencing solution for musicians on the move. Not only does the Maschine Mikro offer intuitive control of a software interface - the MIkro can operate like a classic groovebox too. With 16 velocity levels, swing, pad linking, note repeat and MPC 60 / SP1200 sampling emulation, the classic sounds of old are available at your fingertips. Whether you're a musician, producer or creative DJ Maschine Mikro offers something you can sue in the studio or on stage. The generous 6GB+ sampling library contains over 18,000 samples, 7000 one shots, 400 loops and 300 drum kits with over 1400 patterns, 388 sampled instruments and 170 effects. The Mikro is available from Gear4music.com by October 1st, but you can pre-order now for just £299.
