"Never cover Oasis" says Franz Ferdinand member
Having given his opinions on the band, he also declared himself "drunk".
Alex Kapranos was questioned by a fellow user of the social media site (@clarinesadira) about whether he had "any advice for future musicians?" and responded with a three-point summary which featured a mention for the Manchester guitar band famous for songs such as Wonderwall and D'You Know What I Mean?
As well as telling "future musicians" that they should remember their mates and "have a laugh" he tweeted that they should "never cover Oasis."
"Ach. Nothing personal. Just because everyone does. And they're so f****** boring," was his later explanation of this stance to another Tweeter.
Franz Ferdinand have released singles such as Do You Want To and Matinee, though compared to Oasis they have enjoyed fewer chart hits – perhaps meaning that the stars of tomorrow are still free to attempt versions of Franz Ferdinand's material!
