New Ableton Push Controller and Live 9 Details Released

Ableton Push Controller
Available in the first quarter of 2013, the new Push controller is designed to give you hands-on control of song-making elements, enabling you to create your tunes from scratch.

The USB-powered, laptop-sized controller features 64 pads sensitive to velocity and pressure that control melody, harmony, beats, sounds and the overall structure of your songs.

Not only do Push's 64 LED pads look great in an array of colours, they also boast After-Touch that means you can adapt parameters without using analogue controls.

However, if analogue works for you, Push also features an assortment of dials and a One Touch strip.

The Ableton Push controller comes with the new Ableton Live 9 software which a choice of either the Intro, Standard or Suite edition.

The full version of the new Live 9 Suite contains over 3000 sounds, providing Push with a comprehensive collection of instruments and effects.

Ableton have improved on many aspects of their previous Live software and updated features include a new browser, session automation, the ability to extract musical information from samples and the inclusion of Max for Live.

Push's unique recording workflow means you can overdub new notes and move between elements with just a few buttons, when you're done experimenting with the music-making process, Ableton Live 9's full-featured music creation software can be used to fine-tune the details of your exported masterpieces.

Designed in-house at Ableton HQ in Berlin, Push is made to provide more advanced hardware control and software integration than any other controller.

Both Ableton Live 9 and the Ableton Push Controller will soon be available at Gear4music.com.
