New Radiohead album available at weekend
Radiohead have surprised their fans by announcing their latest album will be available from Saturday (February 19th).
The electric guitar band had kept details of their work in the studio on the record, which is to be called The King of Limbs, relatively quiet as they worked on the follow-up to the critically acclaimed In Rainbows.
It is to be made available initially as a digital-only release, with fans able to choose between mp3 or WAV formats.
Radiohead are also offering The King of Limbs as a special-edition "newspaper album", which will be shipped out to buyers on May 9th.
The boxset will include two clear ten-inch vinyl records, a CD and access to the digital download, along with "many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together".
Last month, footage of a charity gig played by the band to benefit the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake that struck the country was released.
The DVD of the concert, which took place at the Fonda venue in Los Angeles, is made up of recordings taken by the fans who attended the event.
