New U2 songs 'are going down great at concerts'
Bass guitar player Adam Clayton has hailed the reaction to U2's new material on the band's current world tour.
The veteran Irish group unveiled their latest album No Line on the Horizon earlier this year and notched up yet another hit single with Get On Your Boots.
U2's world tour in support of the LP recently hit the US, and according to Clayton, the new material is going down very well with American crowds.
"Nobody's yawning or groaning," he told USA Today.
"The new songs get a great reaction live."
Lead vocalist Bono added that although Get On Your Boots was not a massive hit single in the US, the track is working very well in a live setting.
He stated that the band believes in the material on the new album and wants people to have the songs "in their hearts and their iPods".
U2 first rose to prominence in the early 1980s and have since had numerous hits including New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.
