Nile Rodgers and Daft Punk's music love affair
Speaking to Faster Louder, Rodgers, who began his professional career working in a band that toured with the characters of Sesame Street, explained that he is looking to record new music with the electronic duo.
"We were having so much fun just in an informal setting that we decided to make it formal," Rodgers remarked. "And it's very formal. It's gonna be amazing."
He added that although he had known Daft Punk for a very long time, he had never got close to them as they would always pass by one another fleetingly.
"So today was the first chance we had to spend hours and hours together and it was just so awesome," he told the news provider.
"Every track they played I just ran across the room and got my guitar and started playing and we were all dancing around my dining room having the time of our lives."
Last year Rodgers revealed that he had been fighting cancer since being diagnosed in October 2010. He is now free of the disease.
