Noel Gallagher album to feature Miles Kane on guitar
Miles Kane has revealed he has played a part in the recording of Noel Gallagher's hotly-anticipated solo album.
Kane, who makes up one half of the Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, told BBC Newsbeat that he joined in Gallagher in the studio to say thank you to the former Oasis star for appearing on his new record My Fantasy.
"I play guitar on one of his songs for his album," the musician confirmed. "I was only in there for a couple of hours. I did my thing."
The news that Gallagher is in the studio may come as something of a surprise to his fans, considering he had said in September family commitments meant he was not expecting to record any new material until 2011.
Meanwhile, Kane has recently announced a solo tour in support of his own material will take place in February, with shows in a number of intimate venues planned in Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield.
