Noel Gallagher announces details of his long-awaited debut solo album
Noel Gallagher announced details about his debut studio album at a press conference in London yesterday (July 6th).
Entitled Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, the album will be released on the star's own label Sour Mash Records.
The electric guitar player then set the press conference buzzing when he announced that he would be releasing another EP called Amorphous Androgynous in 2012.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is the first official recorded material from the singer-songwriter since Oasis split up in 2009.
A full tracklisting was also released and some of the songs include The Death of You and Me – rumoured to be the lead song – Dream On and If I Had A Gun.
This is a clear sign that Gallagher has no plans on reuniting the once legendary Manchester rock band.
The album is notable for featuring other musicians including Jeremy Stacey, Mike Rowe – who used to play keyboard for Oasis – and Lenny Castro, a well-known percussionist who has jammed with Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones and Elton John.
Showing that he plans on making the most of the new media landscape, Gallagher has launched himself onto the online world with an official website and Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and MySpace pages.
The album is scheduled for release on October 17th.
