Noel Gallagher drumming sessions for Paul Weller 'may not make album'
Paul Weller has said Noel Gallagher's stint behind the drum kit in recording sessions for his new album may be dropped from the final edit.
Weller told NME that he has finished around eight or nine tracks for his next record, with his long-time friend Gallagher helping out with the making of the songs.
He explained that Gallagher's contribution on the drums was "as a mate", with the pair jamming together for a number of hours.
"Whether he makes the album or not we'll see," said Weller.
"He's a very good drummer, people don't realise he's a good all-round musician."
The former Jam frontman revealed that his fans can expect some "avant-garde moments" on his next album.
Weller is set to play shows in Australia and the US in the next couple of months, before returning to the UK and Ireland for gigs in Dublin, Brighton, Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow.
