Developed in collaboration with Clavia and music tech enthusiasts Bruniusson & Berg, the Nord Drum 4 Channel Virtual Analog Drum Synthesiser has a vast sonic palette and 99 program locations, all easily playable on a wide variety of electronic drum pads, acoustic drum triggers, MIDI pads or sequencers.

Future Music Magazine tried out the virtual analog synth and said "Playing the Nord Drum via a set of pads is a riot. It unequivocally qualifies as an 'instrument' in every sense of the word, being responsive, dynamic and expressive."

Each of the 4 channels has three sound generating sections - Tone, Noise and Click - and a mixer to set the balance. Create 'retro' analog sound or harmonically rich organic sounds that are absolutely stunning.

The Nord Drum is also now available with the IK Multimedia iRig MIDI, a compact interface that connects any MIDI-compatible instrument to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Use your iOS device with the Nord Beat app for iPad to create beats in a classic 16 step grid with up to 8 patterns.

This video shows producer Harry Coade on the Nord Beat control app battling Jamiroquai drummer Derrick McKenzie, who uses the Nord Drum with pads and acoustic triggers.
