OK Go not disillusioned
OK Go are not disillusioned about their success.
The band, who created one of the most watched videos on the internet thanks to their 'Here It Goes Again' video, claimed they understood that all the viewers were not fans.
Bassist Tim Nordwind said: "We're not under the impression that all 50 million viewers are fans of the band, or even know that we are a band.
"A percentage are, and a percentage like what they see and hear and decided to get the record or see a show."
He added that OK Go never had a master-plan with the video, which sees them perform a dance routine on treadmills.
Tim told This Is Nottingham: "We don't really fancy ourselves as 'marketers'. It just so happens as time has gone on and technology has advanced, the kind of fun home videos we used to make when we were 11 now have a place online.
"But it was never a shrewd marketing plan to manipulate the media."Posted on 18 Jan 2010 07:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
