Oasis are inspirational, says drummer Starkey
Zak Starkey has dismissed the notion that sitting behind the drum kit with Manchester band Oasis is an easy gig.
However, he insisted that playing with Liam and Noel Gallagher is just as musically challenging as playing with The Who - as he has also hit the sticks for Daltrey and co for many years.
"Liam, Noel, Gem and Andy are some of the smartest musicians I've ever met," Starkey told Rhythm magazine.
"Those lads are on it and that's why they're massive."
He added that Oasis are the "most inspiring" band he has ever worked with.
Starkey began playing with the group back in 2004 following the departure of Alan White, appearing on the Don't Believe the Truth album and playing on their 2005/06 world tour.
