Oasis star: We should have split in 1996
Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, a former guitar player in Oasis, has said the band should have split after their triumphant gigs at Knebworth in 1996.
The band appeared in front of 250,000 fans for two days in a row at the event and Arthurs told the Oasis fansite Stopcryingyourheartout.com that it would have been better to go out on a high.
"I think we should have done Knebworth and on that second night we should have all taken a bow and said, 'Thank you and good night, we were Oasis'," he said.
The electric guitar player added that all of the band found it difficult to go from such a huge occasion to touring venues in America in front of a couple of thousand people each night.
Last month, Noel Gallagher played his first solo gig since leaving the group at the Royal Albert Hall.
The performance was in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.Posted on 7 Apr 2010 18:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
