Oasis were past their best, says Steve Jones
Steve Jones is not too upset that electric guitar player Noel Gallagher has left Oasis, as the band had passed their peak.
Speaking to the Press Association, the T4 presenter said he is a big fan of the band and thinks both Noel and his brother Liam are "great guys".
However, he confessed that he does not believe Oasis have produced their finest work in the last decade.
While Jones may not be too distressed by recent events, Liam Gallagher himself has admitted that he is "gutted" the band has come to an end.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, he promised to say more about his take on the recent split as soon as he had time to "sit down and work it out".
"When I'm ready, you will hear my side of the story," he commented.
Gallagher added that while he loved being in Oasis, he was not shocked by the band's eventual split.
Noel cited personal differences with Liam as one of his main reasons for leaving the group.Posted on 13 Oct 2009 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
