Orange Announce New Micro Dark Amplifier

Orange Micro Dark

Orange Amplifiers has officially announced the Micro Dark amplifier - one of the smallest and heaviest-sounding amplifiers the company has produced to date.

Following the massive success of the Dark Terror and Jim Root Terror lunchbox-style amplifiers, Orange has now produced a pint-sized hybrid valve head producing 20 watts of power.

The shape control dial is the same as the one found on Orange's, Dark Terror and Thunderverb amplifiers, which caters for impressive tonal variety to suit most genres. However, the sheer amount of gain available from this amplifier will make it popular with guitarists playing heavy-rock and metal music.

The amplifier also has a buffered effects loop and a headphone output, which uses CabSim circuitry, meaning you can use the headphone socket to line into a PA system or record into your computer.

A matching 1x8 speaker cabinet has also been released to complement this new offering from Orange.
