A new Orange amp is to be used in an attempt to break a world record for the world's fastest piece of guitar playing.

The Orange OPC guitar amp, which has been developed in conjunction with technology giant Intel to have computing capabilities, is to be used by current record holder Tiago Della Vega later this week in Las Vegas, reports MI-Pro.

On Friday (January 7th), Della Vega will be attempting to break his own Guinness World Record for playing Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee at 320 BPM without making any mistakes.

The electric guitar specialist, who endorses Orange amplifiers, will be trying to beat the mark at the Consumer Electronics Show held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, with his efforts being streamed live on the amp manufacturer's website.

It will provide global exposure for the Orange OPC amp, which offers users the ability to play, record and edit their music.

A variety of Orange amps are used by a number of top bands and artists from both the UK and the US.

Among the acts to use the equipment are Arctic Monkeys, Alkaline Trio, The Wombats and The Cribs.
