Organ and more for Radio 2 event
The 12-hour event is set to see Will Young, whose songs include Leave Right Now and Grace, singing, as well as Amy Macdonald (This is the Life) doing the same, says the BBC.
Meanwhile, presenter Graham Norton will apparently hear a live organ version of a track he loves.
These and other items will be available to radio owners, as the Radio 2 event's main focus sees it air an atypical set of shows.
According to the BBC's Bob Shennan, 2011's version of the event – called 2DAY - was liked by 81 per cent of Radio 2 listeners.
“Last year we worried that dismissing our daily 12-hour schedule was a crazy move – but we took the chance, and our audience appreciated hearing a variety of different programmes for one day only," he said.
Radio owners will have to pen the 10th of May into their diaries, as that it when they will be able to hear the event.
Some 14.23 million people tune into Radio 2 every week, according to the BBC.
