Ozzy Osbourne to sign giant Gibson Les Paul guitar
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne is to add his signature to a specially-constructed Gibson Les Paul guitar replica on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
The ten ft tall fibreglass structure will be autographed by the former Black Sabbath star on January 10th as Ozzy gears up for the second leg of his tour of American arenas, reports The Gauntlet website.
His specially-created Gibson Les Paul guitar joins 25 other replicas in an area that has been designated as GuitarTown and is designed to honour musicians such as Slash, Jimi Hendrix and Brian Wilson.
The replica instrument was created by LA-based photographer Nic Adams and uses images celebrating the work of Ozzy, who has sold more than 100 million records over the course of his career.
Osbourne is due to head out on a tour of the US on January 12th, beginning with a date in Minneapolis.
Following a run of gigs lasting until February 22nd in his adopted homeland, Ozzy will move on to play shows in South America, visiting countries such as Chile, Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia.
He has also been booked for several European shows in August, with the star playing venues in Germany, Norway, Poland and Denmark.
