P Diddy to launch music channel
Sean Combs, as he is known in real life, will call the channel Revolt, which is distinct in that it uses social media to inform its content.
It's the latest in a long line of business moves that have resulted in Diddy becoming one of the most powerful men in music.
Not only is he chief executive of Bad Boy Entertainment, a high successful record label, he has also delivered a number of entertainment shows on TV, including MTV's Making the Band.
Diddy has said very little about the project, fuelling rumours that he might be appearing on the new show.
"We're coming with a new energy, we're coming with something that people are going to want to tune in to see," he told MTV.
In his early days, Diddy was known as Puff Daddy and was principally a rapper and producer. He was close friends with the legendary rapper Notorious BIG, who was murdered in 1997.
