PLASA 2010: Allen & Heath launches low cost mixer
Allen & Heath launch the GS-R24 analogue mixing console that is set to offer an abundance of high-quality features at an "attainable price point".
The GS-R24 is based on the popular ZED-R16 Firewire recording mixer concept with influences from the classic GS3000 console.
Although it is primarily aimed at project recording studios, the GS-R24's flexible feature set lends the mixer to live sound applications, post production suites, and as a general use home studio mixer.
Sporting a high quality mic pre-amp and four-band fully-parametric EQ, the GS-R24 has 24 mono mic/line channels.
In addition to this are two dual input stereo channels, two mono valve pre-amp channels, six auxes (two switched pre/post EQ), four audio sub-group buses, a master stereo and a master mono bus.
The GS-R24 even combines a choice of interface modules, motorised faders for automated mixing, and MIDI controllers for tactile interfacing with software DAWs,
Allen & Heath designer, Mike Griffin, said "It is unusual to find this level of high quality analogue pre-amp, EQ and mix down circuitry combined with DAW interface and controller all in one product."Posted on 13 Sep 2010 10:28 to category : Instruments News
