Paul McCartney's electric guitar player hails Gibson ES-335
Rusty Anderson has been performing with the former Beatle for the last eight years and regularly uses his ES-335 on stage.
"I like 335s because they have a cool midrange quality and they can do everything I want from a guitar," Anderson commented.
He also noted that the neck of the instrument is perfectly sized, as it has the right depth and width.
Anderson said this gives the Gibson electric guitar "great sonic properties".
He went on to cite players such as Jimi Hendrix and Mick Ronson as his main inspirations, praising them for creating "pure rock tones" without the use of any effects.
As well as performing in McCartney's live band, Anderson has also appeared on many of the ex-Beatle's albums in the last decade, including Memory Almost Full, Driving Rain and Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard.Posted on 7 Sep 2009 14:00 to category : Instruments News
