Paul Weller completes work on new album
Electric guitar player Paul Weller has revealed he has finished work on his latest record.
The star told Xfm that his time in the studio completing the album has come to an end, with the LP "all ready to go".
Weller - who was speaking backstage at the Japan Disaster Benefit gig he had helped to arrange - added that no official release date has yet been set, although he is hopeful it will see the light of day at some point in 2011.
The charity gig at the O2 Academy in Brixton managed to raise around £150,000 to support the work of the British Red Cross in Japan, after the nation was hit by an earthquake and a tsunami.
Along with the former Jam frontman, performances were given by the likes of Beady Eye, Primal Scream, The Coral, Graham Coxon and Richard Ashcroft.
Weller's next live dates will be at Hyde Park, where he is one of the support acts for two summer shows from Kings of Leon.
The electric guitar player said he was looking forward to the gigs, which will take place on June 22nd and 23rd.
