Paul Weller happy with Bruce Foxton collaboration
Electric guitar player Paul Weller has teamed up with Bruce Foxton, his former bandmate in The Jam, to record two tracks on Weller's new album.
Foxton, who played the bass guitar in the legendary group, is playing alongside Weller for the first time since The Jam split up in 1982.
Weller gave a song-by-song rundown of Wake Up The Nation on MySpace and revealed that one of his favourite tracks from his new record is Fast Car Slow Traffic, which features Foxton on bass guitar.
He described it as a "real London tune" that really got audiences going on his last tour.
"It was really interesting to hear Bruce playing on it," said Weller.
"You can instantly tell it's him."
Weller has recently announced details of an upcoming residency at the Royal Albert Hall.
Only two May dates were originally announced but this has now been extended to a five-night run following high demand from fans.Posted on 20 Jan 2010 18:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
