Peavey Kits out Strummerville at Glastonbury 2011

Great Deals on Peavey Equipment

Mumford and Sons were among the stars performing on the Strummerville stage at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival, with an array of audio equipment provided by Peavey.

The special stage was made to commemorate the late Joe Strummer, and offered aspiring musicians the opportunity to play live to hoards of people at the main UK music event.

Special guest performances were also made by Emmy the Great, King Blues and Mumford and Sons.

Strummerville was formed by Joe Strummer?s family and friends in 2002, striving to pave a way in the music business for up and coming talent.

Since 2007, Strummerville has invited festival attendees to gather round its campfire and play, whether or not they have brought their own music gear.

The set up needed a compact but powerful PA, with high quality sound suitable for an intimate audience.

A small venue PA system comprising an active speaker set up of PR 15Ds and Pro SubPs, as well as PR 12Ds for monitors.

Front of house was catered for by a Peavey 24FX mixer, chosen for its excellent built in effects.

Clive Roberts, Peavey?s Managing Director, commented, "It's great to work with a charity organisation that supports up-and-coming musicians who may not otherwise get the opportunity to get their music heard."
