Peavey and Marvel to launch superhero range of music instruments
Peavey has announced that it is joining forces with Marvel Entertainment to produce a range of superhero-inspired music instruments.
Musicians of all types will be able to strum electric guitars, acoustic guitars and bang on a wide array of percussion instruments with "superhero" strength and skill in what is seen as a unique range of music instruments.
The Peavey guitars will include extraordinarily detailed artwork of superheroes from the Marvel universe, including Captain America, Wolverine, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man.
Hartley Peavey, founder and chief executive officer of Peavey, said that both Peavey and Marvel were known for their "larger-than-life creations".
He said: "Musicians, music fans and comic aficionados alike will find a lot of fun and inspiration in these new musical instruments featuring their favourite Marvel superheroes."
From the summer of 2011 fans will be able to pick up a "super" half-size acoustic guitar, followed by a three-quarter size electric guitar and a full-size Peavey Rockmaster electric guitar.
Peavey Electronics was founded in 1965 and is seen as one of the key modern-day developers of guitars, especially after it introduced "computer-aided manufacturing techniques" to the production of the instruments.
