Peter Hook nervous about lecture tour
Peter Hook has said he is feeling rather nervous about his upcoming lecture tour.
The former Joy Division and New Order star will be putting his bass guitar to one side for much of the time during his An Evening of Unknown Pleasures tour, which is set to travel around the country in April and May.
He will instead talk about his musical past and take questions from the audience, although a small section of the show will consist of instrumental bass guitar numbers.
Hook told Q Magazine that although he is used to appearing on stage, this will be an entirely different experience.
"I'm used to being hidden behind a guitar or whatever else is available onstage, this time I'm standing there talking on my own which is nerve-racking," he said.
The bass guitar player has also recently announced plans to perform the entire Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures in Manchester on May 18th 2010 a date that marks the 30th anniversary of Ian Curtis' death.Posted on 8 Apr 2010 20:10 to category : Band / Celebrity News
