Peter Hook planning special Joy Division set in Manchester
Bass guitar player Peter Hook has announced that he will perform classic Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures in its entirety at a special show next month.
The event will be held at his new club FAC251 in Manchester to mark the 30th anniversary of the death of Joy Division's lead singer Ian Curtis, who died on May 18th 1980.
Hook will call on a range of special guests to help perform the album, as well as taking questions about his own career in both Joy Division and New Order.
Prior to the event, the bass guitar player will showcase previously unseen footage of the two groups around the UK, reports NME.
The tour will start in Birmingham on April 11th 2010, before moving on to venues in towns and cities including Bolton, Burnley, Cardiff and Oxford.
Hook was joined on stage by Mani from the Stone Roses when he opened FAC251 in February with a performance of songs from across his career.Posted on 6 Apr 2010 09:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
