Pink Floyd stars reunite for charity gig
Pink Floyd unexpectedly reunited over the weekend (July 10th 2010) for a charity performance.
Roger Waters and David Gilmour were joined onstage at Kiddlington Hall, Oxfordshire, by Pink Floyd session bass guitar player Guy Pratt, drummer Andy Newmark, guitarist Chester Kamen and keyboard players Jonjo Grisdale and Harry Waters, reports Xfm.
The gig was part of the Hoping Foundation benefit evening, which raised around £350,000 for charity.
They played four songs together as part of the short set, including Pink Floyd classics Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2).
Electric guitar player Waters is to bring his world tour of The Wall to the UK and Ireland next year.
During May 2011, he will perform a series of shows in London, Manchester and Dublin.
The first leg of the tour is due to get underway in Toronto on September 15th, before moving on to cities such as Chicago, New York and Washington.Posted on 12 Jul 2010 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
