Playing electric guitar is my hobby, says Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney has no plans to hang up his electric guitar just yet, as playing the instrument is his hobby.
Speaking to the Big Issue, the former Beatle noted that many people cannot wait to give up their job and retire.
However, he said he is doing his hobby for a living and therefore has no plans to stop making music.
"I'm going off now and I'll pick up the electric guitar and play some rock and roll," he commented.
"I still feel the same thrill I used to feel."
McCartney said he feels privileged to be able to play a "really cool" guitar through a brilliant amp as loud as he likes.
The rock veteran this week appeared at the O2 Arena in London, playing a setlist which included Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, Jet and Band on the Run.
He also performed his festive classic Wonderful Christmas Time, as well as Mull of Kintyre - complete with bagpipes.Posted on 24 Dec 2009 10:54 to category : Band / Celebrity News
