Pretenders star wants to carry on touring
Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders has said she still enjoys going on tour and playing live.
According to Hynde, being on the road for more than 30 years has not diminished her appetite for playing live.
Indeed, the Fender Telecaster player told STV that performing live is still "good fun" and remains an exciting challenge.
"I love doing this," she commented.
"If someone makes a mistake or if something goes wrong, we're all in it."
Hynde added that she particularly enjoys the opportunity to be spontaneous on stage, as The Pretenders often receive requests for certain songs during a gig.
She said the band sometimes goes with these suggestions, even if it is a track they have not rehearsed or played for a long time.
"I hope the audience appreciates us having a go," Hynde remarked.
The Pretenders, who recently released a new album, are perhaps best known for their hits Brass in Pocket and 2,000 Miles.Posted on 15 Jul 2009 13:15 to category : Band / Celebrity News
