Primal Scream closed Camp Bestival last night (31.07.11).

The 'Can't Go Back' dance rock band played their breakthrough album, 'Screamadelica', in full to close the four-day family friendly festival at Lulworth Castle in Dorset.

The band - led by singer Bobby Gillespie - played the tracks from 'Screamdelica' in a reworked and order, before launching into a host of their biggest hits from other records in their back catalogue, including 'Rocks' and 'Country Girl'.

Twitter user Minkleberry tweeted after the show: "In other @campbestival news Primal Scream were ace, & closing fireworks/animation blew our minds. Kids will be talking about it for years (sic)."

Other sets over the weekend included Beardyman, DJ Yoda, Jaguar Skills, Eliza Doolittle, Wretch 32 and Katy B, as well as Mark Ronson, who headlined the Saturday night.

He later tweeted: "Camp bestival was our UK highlight of the tour so far. thank you so much (sic)"

The event also had plenty of activities for kids including acts such as the Zing Zillas and Mr Tumble and rides including merry go rounds, bouncy castles and many other activities.

Also at the festival was radio DJ and mum-of-four, Jo Whiley, who hosted the first `Persil Pass on the Love Picnic'.

Mums and kids were encouraged to hold a picnic and bring newly washed soft toys for another child to love. For further ideas on picnics and family ideas visit www.netmums.com/persilpassonthelove.
