Primal Scream star puts together star-studded new band
Bobby Gillespie, the frontman in Primal Scream, has put together a new band.
The group, entitled Silver Machine, feature two Primal Scream guitarists - Andrew Innes and Barrie Cadogan - along with Zak Starkey, the man who has been behind the drum kit with The Who and Oasis in the past.
Glen Matlock, best known as the bass guitar player in the Sex Pistols, is another member of the group.
They are to play a special covers gig at the 1234 Festival in Shoreditch, London on July 24th 2010.
Gillespie told NME: "We're great and we can't wait."
Silver Machine will play songs first performed by the likes of MC5 and The Troggs at the event.
Other acts who will also be appearing at the 1234 Festival next month include Rolo Tomassi, These New Puritans and Wild Palms.
