Pulp man Cocker lets Sheffield gallery show painting
And recently Jarvis Cocker made a contribution to the world of a very different art form.
The front man and music instrument player has allowed the Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield to borrow a work by Damien Hirst that he owns, called Beautiful Morana Dysgeusia Painting for Jarvis (with Diamonds).
Those who are fans of Jarvis, and anyone else who fancies it, will be able to see it in the gallery over the next three years, according to the BBC.
The Graves Art Gallery is situated inside the Central Library building in the city, opposite another art venue, the Millennium Gallery.
As well as being a member of Pulp, Jarvis Cocker – who of course comes from Sheffield - has also released solo material, such as the track Don't Let Him Waste Your Time, which appeared on the album Jarvis.
