Queen guitar player praises Muse
Queen's electric guitar player Brian May has given the thumbs-up to the latest Muse album The Resistance.
Speaking to BBC News, the rock legend described Muse as an extremely talented band who are "extraordinary musicians".
May singled out the group's sense of humour as one of their finest qualities, noting that they have their tongue in their collective cheek a lot of the time.
"I like the way they let their madness show through - always a good thing in an artist," he commented.
The electric guitar player added that Muse have openly cited Queen as an musical influence.
This, he said, "is obviously nice for someone like me to hear".
May highlighted United States of Eurasia as one of his favourite tracks on The Resistance album, saying it is "brilliantly done".
The comments come ahead of the release of Queen's new compilation album Absolute Greatest, which features many of their biggest hits including Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust, We Will Rock You and You're My Best Friend.Posted on 13 Oct 2009 20:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
