Queens of the Stone Age new album like 'running in a dream'
The note, penned by front man Josh Homme, was given to MOJO magazine and has provided a telling insight into what the band's follow-up to 2007's Era Vulgaris will turn out like.
The letter reads: "These songs aren't recollections of times we had. They are depictions of what we are going through in real time. It means even a bad event can turn into an unforgettable song. At least for us, HA."
Queens of the Stone Age are teaming up with former drummer and Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl on this latest record which represents the first time the two have collaborated on an album since 2002's iconic Songs For The Deaf.
The band's management recently denied reports by FACT Magazine that the album was scheduled for release in March 2013 following contact being made NME.
Queens of the Stone Age's team stated that they had not heard anything in terms of when the record will be completed and nothing in terms when it will be released.
